About the Company: My client is a leading fintech company with a strong and expanding presence across the globe, building scalable technology-enabled financial products for clients in multiple markets. With continued business growth, they are creating a new HRBP headcount to partner closely with senior tech and engineering leaders.
This is a strategic advisory role, to support technology functions and internal business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring solid fintech / tech experience, strong stakeholder management skills and a proven leadership track record in driving impactful people strategies in fast-paced environments.
Job Description: - Work closely with tech-related department heads to understand business needs and provide HR advisory on people strategies, organisation design, workforce planning and talent decisions
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to tech leaders on succession planning, performance management, employee engagement and retention strategies for engineering and product teams
- Partner with management on any regional office expansion or new market entry, representing HR to ensure policies, structures and people practices align with local regulations and group standards
- Support change management initiatives and culture-building for tech and product teams, enhancing team effectiveness and collaboration
- Work closely with TA, C&B, L&D and other HR CoEs on annual people cycles, including manpower planning, budgeting, salary review, talent reviews and promotion processes, ensuring fintech/tech needs are well captured
- Liaise with Talent Acquisition on senior and critical tech hiring, advising on role profiles, organisational setup and long-term capability planning (without owning day-to-day recruitment ops)
- Leverage people data (attrition, engagement, performance and headcount trends) to generate insights for tech leadership and drive actionable follow-up plans
- Participate in regional or global HR projects related to fintech and technology talent, such as engineering career frameworks, skills mapping and future-of-work initiatives
- Assist in any ad hoc projects when necessary
Skills & Experiences required: - University degree in HR Management, Business, Psychology or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of HR experience, preferably gained in fintech, tech or other tech-heavy industries, with strong exposure to partnering with engineers/tech staff
- Proven experience as a HR Business Partner providing advisory to senior leaders
- Fast-paced, driven and agile, comfortable operating in a high-growth, constantly evolving fintech environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret people data and turn insights into practical HR solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
