About the Role:

Our client, a well-established and prestigious Chinese securities firm, is seeking a high-calibre Finance Associate to join their expanding finance team. This is a strategic hire to support the rapid growth of the firms Global Markets, FICC, and Equity Derivatives business lines. The successful candidate will report directly to the Team Head of Finance and play a key role in ensuring robust financial control and support for complex product portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Control & Reconciliation:
  • Update and maintain investment schedules covering a wide range of financial instruments, including but not limited to bonds, structured notes, total return swaps, forwards, interest rate swaps, and repos.
  • Data & Systems Management:
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to system data, and perform regular reconciliations with Operations and Front Desk to ensure data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Head Office, Front Office, and Risk Department to support ad-hoc data requests and reporting needs.
  • Valuation & Ledger Management:
  • Update the general ledger from valuation systems and perform reconciliations with external broker statements and front-end trading reports.
  • Regulatory & Stress Testing Support:
  • Assist in maintaining the ledger for Brokerage business and support FRR (Financial Resources Rules) reporting and stress testing exercises.
  • System Enhancement & Projects:
  • Participate in system enhancement initiatives and contribute to process improvements within the finance function.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly KPI analysis and other management reports as required.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks:
  • Handle other duties and projects as assigned by the Team Head.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a Top 100 overseas university or a 211/985 institution in China.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a sizeable financial institution , preferably a securities firm or investment bank.
  • Big 4 auditing background is preferred , but candidates must also possess direct in-house experience within a brokerage or investment banking environment.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of Global Markets products , particularly bonds, structured products, equity derivatives, and repos . Familiarity with the end-to-end financial accounting and reporting for these instruments.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of financial instruments, market operations, and valuation methodologies. Experience with financial systems and reconciliation tools is a plus.

  • Language Proficiency:
