The Southeast Asia Management Trainee Programme (SEA MT Programme) is a 4-year structured programme designed to groom high-calibre talent into future banking leaders. Participants will gain deep exposure to both local market dynamics and HK's international financial environment.

Programme Structure

A 4-Year accelerated Journey composes of three stages:

Getting Start:

You will be assigned to one of our SEA institutions (Brunei / Cambodia / Indonesia / Malaysia / Thailand / The Philippines / Vietnam) to gain cultural and market insights, so as to build a solid foundation.

Regional Exposure:

You will be offered a valuable opportunity to work in Hong Kong headquarters. You can develop in-depth professional expertise in the challenging international business environment, which can enhance your global perspective and equip you with the skills needed to navigate the complex business market.

Placement:

You will return to the assigned local market for the rest of the programme for placement and career progress, enabling you to deepen your expertise and prepare for long-term leadership roles.

Dual Mentorship

Throughout the programme, experienced business executives from SEA institution and HK headquarters will be assigned as your mentors to provide guidance on your career and personal development.

Professional Qualifications

You will be encouraged to attain the related professional qualifications in order to enhance your professionalism.

Requirements
  • Full-time Bachelor's degree with at least second upper honours or GPA 3.3 or above (4-point scale), or full-time Master's degree or above academic qualification and
  • Less than 3 years of full-time work experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ability to communicate in Chinese / SEA Languages will be an advantage
  • Self-motivated, passionate and strong team spirit
  • Open-minded, willing to embrace changes and accept challenges
