GCB 5 We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Manager, FC Risk Analysis and Discovery Asia. FC Risk Assessment is a research and analytics team that supports the Bank's lines of business and Compliance function with proactive insights on financial crime trends and typologies that present risks for the Bank. The team supports all of HSBC's Asia markets and covers all financial crime disciplines, including money laundering, fraud and sanctions. We work with stakeholders from across the Bank to ensure the end-to-end flow from risk identification through to risk mitigation.
In this role, you will be: - Producing high-quality research products by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis;
- Using critical skills include the ability to integrate complex risk-related information from multiple sources;
- Identifying trends and pertinent information from within broad datasets.
- The role holder must be curious, proactive and innovative in their approach to research and analysis, and adept at using open- and closed-source intelligence to produce analysis and assessments with high business impact.
To be successful you will need - Demonstrated expertise in financial crime risk; strong understanding of threats impacting the Asian banking sector, including money laundering, sanctions evasion, and fraud.
- Proficient in data analytics; ability to interpret complex data sets, extract insights from raw data, and create impactful data visualisations.
- Experience with network analysis is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective team collaborator with a proactive, self-driven approach and the capacity to operate independently.
- Strong interest in business, banking, geopolitics, and current affairs is preferred.
- Professional proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are an asset.
- Degree-holder (or equivalent), with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities across both qualitative and quantitative domains.
