The Company:

Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a prestigious, global quantitative and systematic investment manager. Operating across all liquid asset classes, our client leverages a highly scientific, data-driven approach to investing. They are currently expanding their Global Infrastructure team and are looking for a dedicated Network Operations Specialist to ensure the extreme reliability and performance of their complex, low-latency trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network operations, incident management, and complex troubleshooting.
2. Proactively monitor network dashboards (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana), responding to critical alerts and driving continuous improvement of the observability stack.
3. Lead post-incident reviews to identify root causes and improve the reliability of infrastructure offerings.
4. Deliver Business As Usual (BAU) changes, leaning heavily on automation and GitOps practices (Ansible, Python, CI/CD pipelines).
5. Collaborate closely with trading desks, research teams, and external vendor support to resolve critical incidents swiftly.
6. Perform trend analysis to forecast capacity concerns and improve alert correlation.

Your Profile:

1. Experience: Exactly 5–6 years of overall experience, with your most recent roles heavily focused on Network Operations, NOC, or Incident Management.
2. Domain Knowledge: Previous experience within a Financial Institution, proprietary trading firm, or supporting electronic trading environments is highly preferred.
3. Core Networking: CCNA or CCNP-level knowledge. Experience troubleshooting BGP, Multicast, PTP, VXLAN, EVPN, and Layer 1 switching.
4. Low-Latency Exposure: Familiarity with Arista (7130, 7020/7060/7280), Cisco 3548, Corvil appliances, or PTP/PPS platforms is a major advantage.
5. Automation & Tooling: Hands-on experience with Python or GoLang, Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform), and modern monitoring tools.
6. Mindset: A true problem-solver who thrives in high-pressure environments and enjoys keeping complex systems running flawlessly.
