About Our Client Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed prediction-market trading platform building its Asia-Pacific hub in Hong Kong. The company integrates elements of an exchange, broker, and clearing engine into a single real-time trading system, supported by strong institutional investors across Web3, technology, and digital-asset ecosystems.
Job Description - Build the real-time risk-decision engine, enforcing allow/restrict/block logic at millisecond speed
- Design reserve & solvency monitoring, payout-risk thresholds, and auto-alert systems
- Build a full Trading Credit Engine with issuance logic, dynamic limits & lifecycle controls
- Detect multi-accounting, collusion, farming, and systematic arbitrage
- Define user-tiering, restriction logic, and ensure enforcement at the order layer
- Establish feedback loops with market makers to flag adversarial patterns and refine quoting
- Make final judgments when there are risk-policy disputes across product, trading, and exchange teams
- As the platform grows, transition into team leadership, hiring analysts and risk engineers
The Successful Applicant - 10+ years experience in exchange risk, fintech risk, anti-fraud, or quant/market-risk roles
- Background in trading systems, derivatives, payments, or online gaming strongly valued
- Strong understanding of core trading-system mechanics:orderbooks, clearing & settlement flows, account-ledger structures. You don't need to have written a matching engine, but must be able to engage deeply with engineers who have
- Hands-on SQL + Python for behavior analysis and prototype detection
- Experience in adversarial environments where users actively probe and exploit rule gaps
- Familiarity with real-time systems (Kafka/Flink or similar) is a plus
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams with analysis, logic, and clarity
