Job Description The Senior Equity Research Analyst will be responsible for generating high-quality investment ideas across global industrials-covering areas such as automation, capital goods, transportation, aerospace, clean technologies, and supply-chain infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep sector expertise, strong financial modeling capabilities, and a proven track record of driving investment recommendations in global markets. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CIO and investment team to shape portfolio construction and long-term thematic frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive coverage of the global Industrials sector, identifying secular trends, industry shifts, and high-conviction investment opportunities.
- Conduct detailed fundamental analysis, including financial modeling, valuation (DCF, multiples, scenario analysis), competitive benchmarking, and channel checks.
- Produce clear, concise, and persuasive investment reports and maintain active investment theses for core holdings.
- Monitor global macro developments, policy changes, and supply-chain dynamics impacting the Industrials space.
- Work closely with the CIO to contribute to portfolio decision-making, risk assessment, and position sizing.
- Engage with senior management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather insights and validate assumptions.
- Support development of thematic research across innovation, automation, sustainability, and industrial digitalization.
- Present findings and recommendations to the investment committee and family principals with clarity and conviction.
The Successful Applicant - Minimum 8 years of equity research or buy-side analyst experience with a focus on the global Industrials sector.
- Strong understanding of business models across capital goods, industrial technology, manufacturing, logistics, and related sub-sectors.
- Proven ability to generate differentiated investment ideas and long-term thematic insights.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in global equity markets (US, Europe, and/or Asia).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts to senior decision-makers.
- Intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and a disciplined research process.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA a plus.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin required;
