SRE Support - Investment Bank / Global Markets / 50k to 80k
I'm currently helping our client seeking a candidate with SRE Support experience to join the team in HK.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Support & Incident Management: Provide L2/L3 support for trading applications, managing incident resolution, and performing root cause analysis (RCA).
- Monitoring & Reliability: Perform daily health checks and monitor system performance to ensure high availability.
- Automation & Enhancement: Develop tools for automation, scripting (Python, Shell), and improving CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual tasks.
- Release Management: Deploy applications and manage release processes, including testing and validation (regression testing).
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Front Office, traders, DevOps, and developers to resolve issues and improve user experience.
Required Technical Skills
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in Python, Shell, or C# for automation.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like Geneos, Grafana, or similar.
- Infrastructure: Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, or containerization is often required for modern SRE roles.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience: Requires 2-5 years of experience in application support or SRE within a financial institution.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with front-office trading products (Equity, FX, Interest Rates, Derivatives).
- Communication: Strong English communication skills for collaborating with global teams.
