The Company

This prominent Hong Kong-based single-family office serves as the flagship private investment holding entity for one of Asia's wealthiest dynasties. It manages a highly diversified global portfolio spanning prime real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, education, media, technology-focused private equity, and liquid public market investments. Led by multi-generational family members and professional executives, it prioritizes sustainable, long-term growth while maintaining strong cultural values from its founder.

The Role

  • Proactively source and evaluate high-potential cross-border investment opportunities, with primary focus on venture capital and growth-stage equity transactions, and selective involvement in buyout co-investments - particularly targeting cutting-edge U.S. technology and artificial intelligence companies.
  • Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, conducting rigorous financial, commercial, and strategic analysis to assess valuation, risk-return dynamics, competitive positioning, and fit within the firm's broader portfolio objectives.
  • Partner closely with the Chief Investment Officer to review deal pipelines, prepare well-structured investment recommendations, present findings to internal committees, and support final go/no-go decisions.
  • Actively manage a portfolio of global investments: monitor key performance indicators, critically review quarterly updates and management reporting, engage with portfolio company leadership, and provide hands-on strategic guidance to help maximize value creation.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the firm's internal capital-raising initiatives by preparing high-quality investor materials (pitch decks, teasers, updates), cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective limited partners, and assisting in the successful closing of new fund vehicles.
  • Design and execute disciplined exit strategies - including secondary transactions, IPO preparations, trade sales, and M&A processes - to optimize timing and returns for investors.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of relevant investment experience, ideally gained within principal investment teams, growth equity / venture funds, high-growth technology companies, top-tier strategy consulting firms, or leading professional services organizations (Big 4 transaction advisory / valuation groups), with a consistent record of originating deals and delivering strong portfolio outcomes.
  • Experience working in both private equity funds and family offices is highly advantageous, bringing a valuable blend of institutional deal discipline, fundraising expertise, and long-term, principal-oriented thinking.
  • In-depth understanding of the U.S. private markets landscape, including sector-specific trends (especially tech & AI), evolving regulatory frameworks (SEC, CFIUS, etc.), valuation methodologies, and macroeconomic drivers.
  • We particularly welcome strong Chinese-speaking candidates currently based in the United States who are motivated to relocate to Hong Kong, leveraging their deep U.S. market exposure and bilingual capabilities to support the firm's cross-border strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a quantitative or analytical discipline - Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent - demonstrating exceptional numerical reasoning, modeling proficiency, and structured problem-solving ability.
  • Strong capability to dissect complex financial statements, build and sensitize detailed models, and form independent, defensible investment judgments aligned with the firm's long-term return and risk appetite.
  • Superior communication and influencing skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, negotiating with General Partners and founders, engaging portfolio company boards, and maintaining clear, professional dialogue with institutional investors.
  • Native or fully fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken); working knowledge of Cantonese considered a strong advantage.
