Job Description As an Accounts Officer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Process payments in full compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and ensure timely updates to ledger records.
- Prepare staff reimbursement claims in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
- Proactively monitor cash flow and perform regular bank reconciliations for both office and client accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare accounts payable ageing reports.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance team as required.
- Assist with annual audit procedures and tax filing obligations.
- Communicate and coordinate with banks and other external stakeholders when necessary.
- Stay up to date with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and ensure proper application in daily operations.
The Successful Applicant A successful Accounts Officer should have:
- Higher Diploma or above in Accounting or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience gained in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Solid understanding of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and related compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting systems such as 3E Elite is an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
