Job Description As an Energy Associate, your main responsibilities will include:
- Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of potential investment opportunities, including building complex financial models and performing comprehensive due diligence
- Lead the preparation and presentation of investment proposals for investment committee review
- Drive proactive deal sourcing and lead sector research and analysis
- Contribute to value creation initiatives across portfolio companies
- Collaborate with team members on various strategic and operational projects related to portfolio management
The Successful Applicant A successful Energy Associate should have:
- 3-5 years of investment experience, ideally in technology-focused companies
- Strong interest in emerging and complex technologies
- Advanced financial modeling skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in energy transition or decarbonization technologies is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated leadership potential and adaptability
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Japanese or Korean is a plus
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Analyst position
- Role can be based in either Hong Kong SAR or Singapore
