About Our Client

We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to strengthen our data protection framework and ensure compliance with Hong Kong and Mainland regulatory standards. This role oversees a team of five and focuses on safeguarding sensitive information, implementing governance policies, and aligning with Mainland requirements such as 《 #数据安全法 》.

Job Description
- Develop and maintain data governance and security policies aligned with Hong Kong and Mainland regulations.
- Oversee data classification, access controls, and risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability checks, and data-handling reviews.
- Partner with IT, business units, and compliance teams to operationalise governance standards.
- Monitor data incidents and ensure proper reporting and remediation.
- Deliver training and awareness initiatives to uplift data security culture

The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years in data governance, security, or risk management (banking/FS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HKMA, PDPO and Mainland data regulations including 《数据安全法》.
- Proven experience implementing governance frameworks and security controls.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin; Chinese writing required.
