Finance Manager, Life Insurance

The position is responsible for IFRS 17 financial reporting, HKRBC solvency and capital adequacy oversight, and participating business governance, while staying closely aligned with evolving Insurance Authority (IA) requirements. Working closely with Senior Management, the role acts as a key finance business partner, providing insights that support sound decision-making and the sustainable growth of the company.

Salary: HKD55000 - HKD65000 per month

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare IFRS 17-compliant financial statements, including but not limited to insurance contract liabilities, risk adjustment, and disclosures.
  • Manage HKRBC solvency and capital adequacy reporting.
  • Handle participating business reporting and GL34 compliance (fund governance, surplus allocation, bonuses) and review regulatory reports, tax and audit matters.
  • Monitor IA updates (RBC Rules, GL34, public disclosure rules), assess impacts, and implement changes.
  • Act as Business partner with Senior Management in the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree holder and qualified CPA with at least 6 years of working experience in insurance companies (life / non-life)
  • Interest in RBC and continuous learning regarding IA updates and internal projects
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as a team
