Head of Management Accounting

A large, reputable Corporate Bank with an established presence in Asia is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to take on the role ofHead of Management Reporting . This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for driving the banks management reporting function and shaping financial insights at the enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and direct the management reporting team (
2. Own and oversee the banks Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework — including daily calculations, rate curve maintenance, product/business unit allocations, and profitability analysis.
3. Deliver strategic insights through monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, providing clear analysis of business unit performance, product/customer profitability, and cost allocation.
4. Drive financial planning processes including budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and provide actionable recommendations directly to senior management and the Board.
5. Shape policy and collaboration with Treasury, Risk, and business lines to optimize FTP methodologies, reporting processes, and data integrity.
6. Champion innovation by leading key projects such as reporting automation, system enhancements, and regulatory change implementation.
7. Represent the function externally and internally, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

1. Bachelors degree or above (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related); CPA/ACCA/CFA/FRM or equivalent strongly preferred.
2. 15+ years of banking experience in management reporting, FP&A, or financial control, with proven success in senior leadership roles.
3. At least 5 years of experience managing finance professionals, with demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
4. Deep expertise in Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodology and implementation within commercial banking.
5. Strong knowledge of banking P&L drivers, budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, and cost allocation.
6. Exceptional communication skills in English (written & spoken) and fluent Mandarin (essential for head office interaction).
