Head of Finance IT (Investment bank, Up to $126k)

Position Description

The role will be based in Hong Kong and will report to the Head of Corporate Technology, delivering strategic technology projects in Finance.

You should demonstrate superior leadership and client engagement skills, with strong service delivery capability to proactively identify business requirements and formulate into solid plans for delivery.

This is a leadership and team management role. You will be expected to understand the domain topics, and be able to formulate delivery plans. You will manage projects through the entireSDLC from project initiation to implementation into production environment.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

1. Build partnerships and strengthen visibility into clients business plans and upcoming changes
2. Collaborate closely with headquarters to understand enterprise level system design and plans, and execute key integration programs
3. Proactively identify and pre-empt clients needs through observations, discussions, market practices, experiences and other inputs from professional consultancies, IT, other LOBs, management, etc.
4. Contribute ideas towards improvements in systems, processes and data management
5. Ensure the works are realistic and manageable, with clear benefits and being cost effective
6. Project Management – Manage end-to-end delivery of projects. Plan and track project
7. SDLC and cross-teams engagement activities
8. Ensure that developments undertaken (either in-house or by vendor)
9. standards and practices, and are taking us towards our end state architecture
10. Provide high quality and accurate project status communications to stakeholders in a
11. concise and timely manner

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above in IT/Computing or related studies
2. Min. 15 years of total experience in IT projects gained in Financial Institutions, of which at least 10 years inFinance IT and team management
3. Good overall business knowledge of Finance and Investment Bank business, such as legal and managementaccounting , securities products accounting, group consolidation, allocation, multi-GAAP, BI reporting, etc.
4. StrongSoftware Delivery Management , creating and tracking project plans and working across many teams globally within IT and the Business in order to achieve success
5. Hands-on experience with Finance systems in Enterprise Resource Planning and
6. Enterprise Performance Management
7. Attention to details
8. Strong sense of personal responsibility and disciplined
9. Clear and confident communication style – verbal and written. Multilingual capability is a must, including English and Mandarin
10. Strong desire to learn new technologies and adopt and propose best practices
