Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibility - Support Structured Product Operations: Ensure smooth settlement and daily operations for Structured Products within Wealth Management Operations, meeting deadlines and escalating any issues promptly.
- Process Transactions: Handle trade checking, monitor life cycle events, and manage settlement activities.
- Ensure Compliance: Make sure daily operations adhere to regulatory and internal bank requirements, as well as risk management standards.
- Project Involvement: Work with business partners on user requirements, participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide progress updates for projects.
- Manage Structured Products: Oversee daily operations for various structured products (e.g., ELD, ELI, ELN, Options, EQ/FX ACDC, FX/Interest Derivatives, Commodities) to ensure accurate and timely trade booking and settlement, resolving any failed trades.
- Monitor and Reconcile: Ensure all tasks are completed daily, investigate and resolve exceptions, manage funding with custodians, and perform daily/monthly reconciliations for structured products.
- Process Improvement: Regularly review and update workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.
- Team Leadership Support: Assist the Team Head in managing and developing the team, and help the team meet productivity and KPI targets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to address service concerns and review system performance.
- Incident Analysis: Conduct detailed root cause analysis for operational incidents and review operational flows.
Requirement - Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Fixed Income/Structured Products and related operations support.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 1 year of people management experience.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment products, especially structured products with equity, fixed income, interest rate, and FX underlying.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements for investment product settlement, accounting concepts, trade settlement, and process re-engineering.
- Risk Awareness: Strong awareness of operational risks and controls, coupled with good market operation knowledge.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, and a proactive mindset to suggest process improvements.
- Education: A degree holder, preferably in banking and finance.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Private Banking, digital mindset, and experience with Avaloq.
