Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibility - Lead a team to manage daily operations for investment fund services, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to regulations and bank policies.
- Monitor daily operations to meet agreed service levels and regulatory standards.
- Help prioritize tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all required reports to management and partners.
- Assist in training team members.
- Understand and follow bank policies on information protection, security, and regulatory compliance, reporting any issues immediately.
- Support daily transactions and oversee staff/vendor performance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve discrepancies with relevant parties promptly and escalate exceptions when necessary.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries efficiently.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and reduce risks.
- Prepare and reconcile financial records.
- Help prepare business continuity plans and conduct tests.
- Promote awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements and internal controls among staff.
- Support ad-hoc projects and system enhancements.
- Foster a positive team culture and manage staff resources effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to subordinates.
Requirement - A minimum of 4 years of experience in banking or investment operations, specifically with investment funds processing and settlement.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills to guide a team towards goals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong awareness of risk.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with subordinates.
- Hardworking, open to feedback, and committed to achieving results.
- Knowledge of banking or investment operations, especially the backend operations of investment funds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
- Detail-oriented with a strong control mindset, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of banking or investment practices and procedures is essential.
- Holding HKAB Banking Certificate or specialized qualifications like HKSI Licensing Examination Paper 1 is a plus.
- May require support on Hong Kong public holidays.
