Job Description
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the insurance brokerage portfolio.
  • Identify, engage, and onboard new clients, with a strong focus on Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution channels, partners, and referrers to drive sustainable business pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (product, compliance, operations) to support client acquisition and onboarding.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and client meetings.
  • Prepare regular business reports, pipeline updates, and performance summaries for senior management.
The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum 5 years of business development experience within the insurance or insurance brokerage industry, with IA licensed.
  • Proven track record of bringing in new business and successfully managing distribution channels.
  • Strong network and relationship-building abilities with clients and partners in Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products and brokerage distribution models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or other Asian languages are an advantage.
