Our client is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join their Compliance function in Hong Kong. This role will cover both regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) responsibilities and will work closely with business, risk, and senior management to support the firm's continued growth in a highly regulated environment.

Your new role
  • Provide compliance advisory support to front office, operations, and management on applicable laws, regulations, and codes of conduct, including SFC requirements.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Review and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, testing, and surveillance activities; identify gaps and recommend remedial actions.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external advisors as required.
  • Support regulatory filings, inspections, and internal/external audits.
  • Maintain and enhance AML policies, procedures, and risk assessments in line with regulatory expectations.

What you'll need to succeed

6-7+ years of relevant compliance experience, ideally gained from asset management firms, with strong exposure to Chinese asset management or PRC-related business.
  • Solid hands-on experience in both regulatory compliance and AML/CFT.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory requirements, including SFC codes, guidelines, and AML regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
