Our client, a Hong Kong-based private equity fund house, is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their expanding finance team. This is a newly created position due to a new fund setup, offering exposure to both private equity fund accounting and corporate accounting. The Role
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and payment processing.
- Assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation and liaise with auditors and tax consultants.
- Support fund setup and operations from a finance and tax perspective.
- Review fund activities, including capital calls, distributions, and carried interest calculations.
- Monitor and review fund accounts prepared by administrators
- Update valuations for fund portfolios and SPVs.
- Evaluate and improve financial reporting systems, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
- Handle ad-hoc projects related to the company's business operations.
Your Profile
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- CPA qualification or equivalent is required.
- Total of 6+ years of total experience, with 2-3 years in the private equity related fund house experience would be ideal
- Experience in fund accounting, with exposure to corporate accounting being an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in English and Chinese; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently within a small team.
