My client is a leading global asset management firm with a significant presence in Europe and Asia, operating at the heart of the financial services industry, they pride ourselves on our dynamic culture, high standards, and commitment to developing top-tier talent. We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our tight-knit finance team.
The Role
- Financial & Management Accounting (Full Set)
- Handle full set of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis for senior management.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury functions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of year-end audits and tax filings.
- Regulatory Reporting & Compliance (FRR)
- Prepare and submit Financial Resources Rules (FRR) returns to the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (Advising on Securities), and Type 9 (Asset Management) licenses.
- Monitor the firm's liquid capital, ensuring strict adherence to the SFC's capital adequacy requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for regulatory inquiries regarding financial reporting and FRR matters.
- Operational & Process Improvement
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects, system upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
Your Profile
- Education:Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience in an accounting role; exposure to AP/AR is preferred.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Mindset:You are proactive, eager to learn, and take ownership of your work. You don't wait to be told what to do-you look for solutions.
- Communication:Fluent in English and Chinese to communicate with stakeholders effectively.
