This role is critical in establishing a new Equity Derivatives Middle Office team in Hong Kong and supporting the expansion of operations in the region. The successful candidate will manage daily post-trade activities while designing and implementing streamlined processes, controls, and systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and develop the Equity Derivatives Middle Office team in Hong Kong.
  • Handle trade entry, lifecycle event management, validations, and daily profit/loss checks.
  • Work with traders to resolve risk discrepancies and support trade execution processes.
  • Build and implement robust processes and controls tailored to local requirements.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Support the rollout of new products, strategies, and trading capabilities in the region.
  • Oversee system testing, deployments, and provide ongoing support.
  • Act as the local contact point for Trading, IT, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Management teams.
Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in equity derivatives, including OTC products and bespoke structures.
  • Proven experience supporting trading desks and working with trading and risk systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end trade processes and post-trade operations.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or finance-related discipline from a reputable university.
