Our business partner is a well‑established commercial bank in Hong Kong that offers corporate, retail, and treasury‑related banking services. They are currently seeking for experienced Money Markets & Funding manager to join their treasury department.
Your new role
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure sufficient liquidity across all currencies by effectively funding nostro accounts and closely monitoring intraday liquidity movements.
- Execute interbank lending and borrowing, FX swaps, and repo transactions in line with prevailing market conditions and the Bank's liquidity profile.
- Manage and monitor interest rate, liquidity, and currency mismatches within the banking book.
- Track key risk indicators to ensure adherence to internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input on and participate in trading strategies to optimize returns within the approved risk framework.
- Deliver timely market insights and advisory support to other business units.
- Support ad hoc projects as required; cross‑functional rotation to the FX and Precious Metals team may be assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this position, you will have at least 4 years of hands‑on experience in active money market dealing, with relevant Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) certification considered an advantage. A strong understanding of money market operations and a wide range of financial instruments is required. The role demands a self‑motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision, supported by strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Candidates should demonstrate keen awareness of market and regulatory developments and possess a sound risk management mindset. Proficiency in MS Office, Chinese word processing, and treasury systems such as Reuters, Bloomberg, and Calypso is essential, along with strong written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin. Applicants with more extensive experience may be considered for a Senior Dealer position.
