Our business partner is an actively growing bank that is seeking an experienced VP/SVP - Asset & Liability Management in Financial Markets.
Your new role
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the strategic management of the Bank's treasury investment portfolio, with a focus on macro‑driven positioning across interest rates, foreign exchange, credit, and liquidity instruments.
- Drive asset allocation decisions and balance sheet optimization within approved risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and Asset and Liability Management (ALM) frameworks.
- Develop and articulate macroeconomic and market views, translating them into actionable investment and trading strategies to enhance risk‑adjusted returns.
- Execute and manage transactions across relevant markets, including active portfolio construction and ongoing position management.
- Oversee funding and liquidity positions, ensuring alignment with profitability, capital efficiency, and liquidity objectives.
- Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
- Identify, assess, and manage market, liquidity, and balance sheet risks in collaboration with Risk Management, Finance, and ALM functions.
What you'll need to succeed
As a critical member in the team, you will have a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in asset and liability management, treasury, balance sheet management, or a closely related function within a financial institution. A tertiary degree coupled with language proficiency in English and Chinese are required. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to senior management would be greatly appreciated.
