Our client is a well-established fund services provider that has been operating in Hong Kong for over 10 years. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end client onboarding process while delivering an exceptional client service experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong client onboarding experience and professionalism, enabling effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Role
- Periodic reviews and lifecycle management: Own end‑to‑end periodic review activities for an assigned client portfolio, ensuring records remain accurate, current, and fit for ongoing business.
- Leadership and team oversight: Guide and support the local review team, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure consistent standards, timely delivery, and strong quality outcomes.
- Client engagement and advisory support: Serve as a trusted point of contact for client reviews, helping internal partners and clients understand documentation needs and resolve review‑related questions smoothly.
- Risk assessment and profile evaluation: Evaluate existing client profiles, determine appropriate risk levels, and ensure reviews are conducted with the right depth and judgement.
- Screening follow‑up and issue handling: Review screening results, investigate outstanding items, and escalate cases where additional review or approval is required.
- Ownership and structure review: Analyze ownership and control structures using client materials and public sources, supporting the team with validations, confirmations, and review recommendations.
- Quality assurance and documentation checks: Review submitted materials for completeness and consistency, cross‑checking against reliable information sources to maintain strong data quality.
- Process improvement and change initiatives: Contribute ideas to improve review workflows and support enhancements to tools, templates, or processes to increase efficiency and clarity.
- Cross‑region coordination: Maintain open communication with regional partners to ensure alignment on review approaches, updates, and expectations.
- Audit and internal review support: Support internal reviews and control checks by providing clear explanations, documentation, and timely responses to queries.
Your Profile
- 8-10 years of KYC experience supporting retail, corporate, high-net-worth clients
- Strong experience in client due diligence or review functions, ideally within financial services
- Familiarity with reviewing different client structures, including corporate and investment related entities
- Comfortable interpreting corporate documents and ownership information
- Confident communicator with clear written and verbal skills
- Mandarin skills are an advantage but not mandatory
- Detail oriented, well structured, and able to manage priorities under time pressure
