A top-tier western bank is looking for a checker for their derivatives operations team. You will be responsible for processing derivatives trades and structured notes, assisting front office with any trade issues.
Responsibility
- Process derivatives trades, including trade booking, life-cycle events and settlement
- Investigate and resolve any unmatched cash or securities items
- Reconcile daily trader blotters with system records and broker confirmations
- Maintain accurate transaction records, perform day-end controls, and manage market data administration
- Coordinate with sales, traders, head office, brokers and custodians to resolve booking, settlement or security-setup issues
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal company policy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- 7+ years of experience in trade support/middle office/settlement with experience in handling derivatives trade
- Good communication skills, able to work at a time-sensitive environment
- Experience in being a checker
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
