Director, Vietnam coverage, infrastructure Debt fund

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Director based in Vietnam to originate, underwrite, structure and manage private credit, direct lending and infrastructure debt investments.

Key responsibilities (concise)

1. Originate and execute senior‑secured, unitranche, mezzanine and project finance deals across Vietnam; lead commercial and legal negotiations to close transactions.
2. Underwrite credit with detailed multi‑scenario financial and covenant modelling, stress tests and recovery/workout scenarios.
3. Design security packages, intercreditor arrangements and coordinate perfection/enforcement with counsel.
4. Manage technical and sector diligence for infrastructure (EPC, PPA, construction risk), and incorporate macro/FX/commodity risks into underwriting.
5. Monitor portfolio performance, lead restructurings/workouts and implement remedial actions.
6. Build market relationships (sponsors, banks, DFIs), lead syndication/co‑lending and prepare credit committee/investor reports.
7. Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with controls, onboarding and post‑closing servicing.

Required experience & skills (concise)

1. 7+ years in private credit, direct lending, project/infrastructure or leveraged finance; Vietnam/SEA experience preferred.
2. Advanced financial modelling (project finance, DSCR, covenant mechanics), strong legal/security knowledge.
3. Track record closing mid‑to‑large ticket debt transactions; experience with DFIs and ESG/ESG due diligence desirable.
4. Fluent English; Vietnamese a strong plus. CFA/advanced degree preferred.
