Primary Objectives:
Trade Support 's mission is to ensure all new trades and life cycle events are correctly reflected in the relevant risk management systems. As the first link in the Operations chain, Trade Support is also the first level of control for the business:
- for Front Office/Risk to have a clear and accurate view of positions and risks,
- for Back Office to ensure smooth settlement for all trades,
- for Product Control to do valuation and P&L reporting in due time.
Responsibilities:
- Verify trade booking and ensure that trades are properly booked to Risk Management Systems, provide justifications for any late bookings and amendments,
- Monitoring, processing and booking of corporate action events for equity and FICC products,
- Monitoring and booking of life cycle events in systems for BO to handle accurate settlements, including KO, maturity, fixing, early terminations, etc,
- Streamline the different workflow through automation and process review,
- Position reconciliation with different counterparties,
- Products Covered: Total Return Swaps, Structure Notes, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currencies Swaps, Cash Equity, Bonds, Repo/Reverse Repo, CDS, Futures, Vanilla Options, Accumulator, Range Accrual, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous exposure to Fixed Income products and/or Equity Derivative products is essential,
- Basic knowledge on Corporate Action and life cycle events (type of events, impact),
- Ability to work under pressure in trading environment,
- Strong and sharp analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent communication skills; required to work with various internal partners (Traders, Risks, Other Middle Offices, Product Control teams, Back Offices, IT),
- Fluent in written and spoken English, any other languages would be a plus,
- Knowledge of programming is an advantage,
- Bachelor Degree holder or above, preferably in Banking & Finance related disciplines.
