The Role
This is a an opportunity to drive data technology strategy and platform delivery within a prestigious banking engagement. You will be working at the intersection of data engineering, cloud modernisation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder governance and will lead the global strategy and delivery of enterprise data platforms supporting critical use cases across KYC, onboarding, risk, and digital functions. This includes integrating external data sources (e.g. bureaus, sanctions, watchlists) while ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance with evolving data regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute global data technology strategy and platform delivery
- Build and manage distributed delivery capabilities across regions
- Lead modernisation initiatives (cloud, automation, architecture)
- Embed strong data governance, lineage, and control frameworks
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across risk, data, and digital
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors to deliver at scale
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience leading large-scale data platforms within banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of regulatory data (KYC, AML, onboarding, risk)
- Track record in cloud transformation, platform scalability, and global delivery
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and represent data tech in enterprise forums
