Role Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Manager to join their management reporting team in Hong Kong. This role will play a key part in supporting senior management through high‑quality management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring accurate financial information and strong financial governance for branch operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, including financial performance analysis, variance analysis, and key management metrics.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises, working closely with business units to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and providing clear insights to senior management.
- Support financial control and governance over branch operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders, including auditors, head office finance teams, and other control functions.
- Enhance and streamline financial reporting processes, improving data quality, efficiency, and controls.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support on business initiatives and management requests.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, ACA) is preferred.
- Strong experience in financial control, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experiences in banking
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly.
- Detail‑oriented, well‑organised, and able to work under tight reporting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across functions.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems; experience with management information systems is an advantage.
