Investment Director, Venture Capital

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Management:
• Build and maintain extensive proprietary sourcing networks, including relationships with founders, other VC firms, and ecosystem partners.
• Identify emerging market trends and industry themes to drive investment hypotheses.
• Deal Execution & Due Diligence:
• Lead end-to-end due diligence, evaluating business models, market opportunities, and founder teams.
• Direct financial analysis, including the development of proforma financial models, valuation analyses, and sensitivity testing.
• Structure and negotiate investment terms, legal agreements, and closing documentation.
• Portfolio Oversight & Value Creation:
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to portfolio company founders to accelerate growth.
• Serve on company boards to monitor performance and align interests for future exits.
• Develop action plans to resolve disputes or challenges within portfolio companies.
• Strategy & Investment Committee:
• Synthesize due diligence into comprehensive investment memos and present proposals to the Investment Committee (IC) for approval.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and implement fund investment policies.
• Team Leadership:
• Manage, mentor, and oversee the career development of junior investment staff, including Principals, Associates, and Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree holder
• 20 years of proven experience including solid exposure of early-stage investments in the Technology sector
• Fluent Chinese and English
