About your team

Investment Compliance Advisory is responsible for providing compliance advice and support on FIL's investment management process to our investment teams which includes portfolio managers, research analysts, trading desks, corporate finance, and their respective support groups. Investment Compliance Advisory also advises other non-investment functions including Retail/Institutional distribution teams on the interpretation of fund prospectuses and client guidelines, including providing guidance to other Investment Compliance teams in relation to coding rules into the compliance monitoring system as well as interpreting end-of-day compliance monitoring alerts.

About your role

You will also be supporting the development, review and implementation of changes to policies and procedures related to FIL's investment functions, including management and safekeeping of material, non-public information, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. You will maintain a close working relationship with our distribution teams servicing both Retail and Institutional clients by promoting collaboration and championing a strong compliance culture. Not only with our business stakeholders but establishing a strong partnership with other Investment Compliance teams would be key to ensure fund and client restrictions are interpreted and monitored adequately. All of this enables us to operate our investment function in a compliant way, and you will play a pivotal role in FIL helping our clients build better financial futures.

  • Strong knowledge of buy-side investment processes and various asset classes including equities, fixed income, multi-asset and derivatives amongst others.

  • Ability to build relationships of trust with senior management in the business and from Compliance and other oversight and control teams.
  • Positive team player, ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and attention to detail, with investigative and questioning nature and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong self-motivation, organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills, with being accustomed to adapting to unforeseen changes.
