As a TDA Transformation Principal, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping and driving this transformation. You will lead the adoption of modern engineering practices, establish scalable technology frameworks, and guide cross functional teams in delivering high impact digital and AI enabled solutions. Beyond overseeing execution, you will influence technology strategy, strengthen engineering governance, and ensure alignment with business priorities across the organisation. Roles and Responsibilities: - Strategic AI Leadership & Innovation
- Contribute to the development of AIA's AI/ML strategy by identifying emerging technologies and methodologies aligned with business goals.
- Support the definition of enterprise AI roadmaps and embed innovative AI capabilities into products and services to enhance customer and agency experiences.
- Lead prototyping, experimentation, and feasibility assessments of advanced AI approaches, ensuring strategic alignment and scalable implementation.
- AI Research & Applied Innovation
- Drive applied research initiatives that explore novel AI/ML models and techniques to address real-world business challenges.
- Foster a culture of experimentation through rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and concept validation.
- Translate research outcomes into actionable insights, influencing product decisions and engineering architecture.
- Product Development, Design & Agile Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI-powered MVPs and digital products, from concept design to rollout across business units.
- Drive product design, ensuring solutions are intuitive, ethical, and user-focused.
- Drive agile development rituals such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery to ensure predictable and high-quality outcomes.
- Identify delivery risks and remove blockers to maintain momentum across multi-team projects.
- Architecture & Engineering Excellence
- Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure maintainability, modularity, and long-term technical scalability.
- Champion engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD, performance tuning, and secure development standards.
- Ensure all technical deliverables are high-quality, resilient, and cost-effective.
- Business Communication, Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating business objectives into actionable technical strategies.
- Communicate complex AI concepts clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders, business leaders, and non-technical audiences.
- Lead change-management efforts to drive adoption of new AI capabilities, ensuring readiness, training, and measurable business impact.
- Build strong partnerships across LBUs, architecture, product, data science, and operations teams to ensure alignment and collective success.
- Governance, Compliance & Knowledge Management
- Support AI engineering governance frameworks and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
- Establish documentation standards and contribute to a shared knowledge base to enable reuse, alignment, and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Collaboration & Organisational Influence
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives align with enterprise business priorities and strategic intent.
- Contribute to long-term technology planning and influence the evolution of AI capabilities across AIA Group.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, science, or related fields, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience"in AI/ML engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
- Proven experience in at least 1 popular database, preferably Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB.
- Experience in cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Customer focus.
- Good team player.
- Strong communication skills in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
- Knowledge/experience in generative AI such as large language models and image generators is a strong plus.
- Experience in DevOps, ML Ops and LLM Ops.
- Experience in distributed system tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Redis, Kafka, etc.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development process.
