Your new company A leading global financial institution with a strong presence in Private Wealth Management across Asia. The Business Control Unit acts as the first line of defense, overseeing operational and compliance risks while implementing robust risk management frameworks and controls.
Your new role - Oversee operational risk in line with the Firm's framework, including reporting, analytics, and top risk identification.
- Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments and manage the Legal Entity Outsourcing program to track and monitor risks.
- Supervise incident management, entitlement reviews, and segregation of duties, ensuring timely analysis and follow-up.
- Support audits, regulatory inquiries, compliance testing, and thematic reviews to strengthen controls.
- Coordinate governance committees, business continuity planning, and risk policies across Wealth Management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, mitigate, and monitor operational and compliance risks.
- Drive process improvements and prepare trend analysis and escalation reports for senior management.
What you'll need to succeed - 3+ years of experience in banking, risk, or control functions, preferably in a similar role.
- Prior experience in a similar control/risk function (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Cantonese and Mandarin a plus.
