Your new company is a Hong Kong-based investment arm of a major regional insurer managing long-term capital with a focus on diversified strategies, governance discipline, and steady balance-sheet returns.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct detailed investment analysis and due diligence across private equity, buyouts, and private credit opportunities
- Support capital deployment activities, including evaluating new investments and follow-on allocations
- Assist with manager selection, assessment, and ongoing monitoring for external private asset managers
- Prepare investment memos, portfolio reviews, and materials for internal decision-making forums
- Participate in relationship management with external fund managers and advisers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders while maintaining ownership of assigned workstreams
- Contribute to portfolio construction, risk assessment, and performance monitoring activities
Key Requirements - Prior experience in private investment analysis (e.g. private equity, secondaries, buyouts, private credit)
- Exposure to multiple private asset classes rather than a single-specialism background
- Understanding of manager-of-managers or fund investing models is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work as a strong independent contributor within small, high-calibre teams
- Comfortable engaging with external managers and investment counterparties
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills
