About the role
We are hiring for a well-established financial institution for an experienced retail brokerage sales director to build and lead the development and launch of this function and to manage the team. This is a greenfield opportunity and will work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver a best-in-class retail investor experience.
Key responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies for retail brokerage business including margin business
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales budgets and be responsible for achieving targets
- Acquire new retail clients through online channels (social media, referrals, digital marketing leads)
- Onboard clients to the mobile trading platform and explain product features
- Promote equities, ETFs, margin products, and digital assets
- Achieve monthly client acquisition and revenue targets
- Build, train and manage the sales team
- Ensure compliance with SFC regulations for client onboarding and suitability
- Conduct market research and collect market intelligence
Requirements
- 8+ years of retail sales experience in brokerage, wealth management, or fintech
- Experience selling financial products online
- SFC Type 1 & 4 license (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluent Cantonese and English
- Self-motivated and comfortable working to targets
- Highly Desirable:
- Background at a well established retail brokerage platform
- Experience with crypto / digital asset products
- Mandarin language skills
