We're seeking someone to join our Corporate Security & Investigations team to lead SecOps for Morgan Stanley offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan and FLS operations for the APAC region. This role involves managing physical security, conduct of investigations, travel security, risk monitoring, FLS and crisis management. The Security Operations Director, Hong Kong and Taiwan is required to manage day to day operations of the security team including the functioning of security systems, for all offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as leading the FLS operations and program for the APAC region. This role is based in Hong Kong and reports to the APAC Security Operations regional head.

What you'll do in the role:
- Supervise security of staff, property and assets for all MS offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
- Supervise implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Assist in conducting investigations and managing security crisis management operations for Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
- Assist in physical security audits and risk assessment of premises, vendor sites, hotels and other locations which are in use or are being evaluated for use by Morgan Stanley and its staff.
- Regularly take on critical tasks pertaining to crisis management, travel security, security risk monitoring etc. relating to staff and offices in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
- Serve as the main CSI representative to business units, building management and government agencies.
- Develop and implement event security plan for periodic Investor Summits and any other events/meetings taking place in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan
- Track and be familiar with local fire codes and security laws/regulations in the region. Provide operational and technical support for any security related projects in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
- Coordinate fire evacuation drills for all offices in the APAC region.
- Liaise with security department of other firms and agencies for collection of market and security related intelligence.
- Personally manage complex investigations, briefing internal stakeholders and effectively managing external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with internal clients in relation to their requests. Brief stakeholders such as risk officers/business admins, Human Resources and Legal in case of any material event or incident which can impact the firm.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of new employees and contingent staff.
- Develop training materials and assist in the professional learning and development of the team.
- Provide advice, direction and help to less experienced team members.
What you'll bring to the role:
- University graduate.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of security management experience in military, law enforcement, corporate security or risk related function with a well-known MNC.
- Experience in conducting investigations and preparing incident/investigation reports.
- Formal qualifications relating to physical security, FLS, crisis management or investigations are a plus.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Excellent skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to work outside of normal office hours.
- Fluency in English language. Knowledge of Chinese language (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is a bonus.
- Intimate understanding of the business environment, cultural context and political affairs within the APAC region.
- Organizational and time management skills: able to multitask and complete projects on time in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to recognize risk in day-to-day processes, draw out key issues and contribute to process improvement.
- Impeccable integrity and ethics.
- A willingness to learn new skills.
