Associate Director - Credit Analyst

Our client is a well-established European bank with a growing presence in Asia. As part of continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Credit Analyst to support the front office in originating and managing high-quality corporate and structured lending transactions across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and in-depth credit analysis for new lending proposals and periodic reviews, covering corporate, leveraged and structured transactions
  • Prepare high-quality credit papers for internal credit committees in line with group credit policies and regulatory standards
  • Assess borrower financials, cash flow sustainability, industry risk, transaction structures, and covenant packages
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Product teams and Risk Management throughout deal origination and execution
  • Monitor existing portfolios, identify emerging risks, and recommend appropriate risk mitigants
  • Support regulatory, audit and internal control requirements relating to credit risk
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior credit staff where required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8-10 years of credit analysis experience gained within an international or regional bank
  • Strong hands-on experience covering corporate banking / mid-cap to large corporate clients; exposure to structured or leveraged finance is an advantage
  • Solid financial statement analysis and cash flow modelling skills
  • Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, covenants and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions under tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to engage front office and senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European or Asian language skills are a plus
