AWS Architect

We're working with a high-performing, technology-led investment firm building out its cloud platform capability.

This is a senior architecture role focused on shaping how AWS is used across a complex, fast-moving engineering environment.

The Role

Youll sit at the intersection of platform, infrastructure, and application teams – helping design and standardise how cloud-native systems are built, deployed, and scaled.

Rather than owning a single system, youll influence multiple teams by:

1. Defining architecture patterns and best practices
2. Solving common infrastructure and scalability challenges
3. Helping teams move faster without compromising reliability or security
4. Translating business requirements into robust technical designs

Youll also play a key role in evolving the cloud ecosystem - working closely with internal teams and external providers to improve how services are adopted and used.

What Youll Be Working With

1. AWS across infrastructure, networking, and security
2. Compute: EC2, ECS, EKS / Kubernetes, Lambda
3. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
4. Python or similar scripting for automation

What Theyre Looking For

1. Strong experience designing AWS-based platforms at scale
2. Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and compute services
3. Ability to influence engineering teams and drive best practices
4. Experience working across complex, multi-team environments
5. A pragmatic mindset - balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
