Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Alibaba Cloud reference architectures, infrastructure diagrams, and solution designs based on AliCloud blueprints and best practices.
  • Lead and support cloud migration projects from on‑premises or other cloud platforms to Alibaba Cloud.
  • Conduct environment assessments, define migration strategies, and support cutover and post‑migration activities.
  • Collaborate closely with other architects, technical teams, vendors, and Alibaba Cloud engineers to ensure consistent and high‑quality solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design documents, migration runbooks, and operational guides.
  • Ensure cloud designs meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure services.
  • Participate in reviews of vendor proposals and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure architecture, with solid hands‑on experience in Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud).
  • Strong knowledge of core Alicloud services: ECS, VPC, SLB, RDS, OSS, RAM, Security Center, Cloud Firewall, ACK, and networking/security components.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects and large‑scale infrastructure design.
  • Ability to create high‑quality architecture diagrams using tools such as Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or Alibaba Architecture Center.
  • Good understanding of cloud security, network design, hybrid cloud connectivity, and best‑practice architectures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin for business and technical communication.
  • Alibaba Cloud certifications (ACA / ACP / ACE) are highly preferred.
