Associate - Settlement Operations

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the efficient settlement operations of equity, fixed income, listed and OTC derivatives transactions across Hong Kong, APAC, US, China Connect etc.
• Track unsettled or failing trades and coordinate timely remediation measures.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements related to derivatives operations.
• Stay current with applicable regulations, internal controls, and policy changes to ensure full compliance in all settlement activities.
• Plan and oversee the successful execution of project tasks, including gathering user requirements and conducting user acceptance testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in global market settlement
• Strong analytical skills and a keen awareness of operational risks in day-to-day activities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and openly in both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of AI, macros, and automation tools is a plus.
