Job title: RWA Exchange – Head of Business Design & Strategy

Location: Central, Hong Kong

Job Overview

Own the end-to-end business design and execution for a digital gold and multi-asset RWA exchange.

You will build a complete business loop spanning asset tokenization (on-chaining), trading, clearing & settlement, and liquidity systems.

This role requires strong experience in traditional banking and finance (especially asset classes like precious metals) and/ or understanding of Web3/ RWA exchanges, with the ability to deliver a systematic “asset → token → trading” commercial and profitable model.

Key Responsibilities:

Exchange Business Architecture Design (Core)

1. Design the overall business and technical architecture for the RWA exchange, including the full lifecycle of asset access, token issuance, order matching, clearing & settlement, and redemption.
2. Develop a multi-asset trading system (spot, derivatives, financing, etc.) with digital gold as one of the main asst classes.

Asset Tokenization & Standardization System Design

1. Create a standardized mechanism mapping offline assets to on-chain tokens, covering rights confirmation, valuation, auditing, and custody.
2. Familiarize with and drive implementation of mainstream RWA token standards/protocols (e.g., ERC-3643) to enable compliant, programmable finance on-chain.

Compliance & Risk Control System Design

1. Design KYC/KYB, AML, investor suitability, and transaction monitoring frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the EU (e.g., MiCA).
2. Build a hybrid on-chain + off-chain risk control system integrating identity, transactions, and underlying assets.

Financial Logic & Smart Contract Mapping

1. Translate traditional financial product structures (e.g., gold leasing, profit distribution, structured products) into on-chain executable logic.

Liquidity & Trading Mechanism Design

1. Design the exchange liquidity framework, including market maker mechanisms, incentive models, and cross-market linkages.
2. Build a multi-path settlement approach for fiat/stablecoins to improve liquidity and trading efficiency.

Ecosystem & Partner Integration

1. Establish collaboration workflows with custodians, audit firms, law firms, and cross-chain infrastructure providers.
2. Drive deep integration between traditional finance operations and the on-chain ecosystem.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Languages

1. Bachelors degree or above in Financial Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. MBA/CFA/FRM preferred.
3. Can speak and understand Mandarin with Fluency in English

Experience (Core)

1. 8+ years or similar experience in financial services, with exposure to exchanges/financial markets/asset management, etc.
2. Deep familiarity with precious metals business, especially gold-related workflows such as spot trading, leasing, arbitrage, trading execution, and/or clearing/settlement.
3. At least 3-5 years in blockchain/digital assets/RWA, preferably with exchange or asset on-chain project experience.
4. Proven experience building a business/platform from scratch (exchanges, virtual banks, asset platforms, etc.).

Core Competencies

1. Dual-domain understanding (Key)
2. Strong grasp of traditional finance concepts (e.g., securitization/SPV/trust/commodity trading).
3. Familiarity with Web3 systems (e.g., smart contracts, token standards, cross-chain, DeFi).
4. Business abstraction ability
5. Ability to transform non-standard assets into standardized on-chain RWA models.
6. Liquidity & market structure understanding
7. Knowledge of exchanges vs. OTC, market making, and cross-market pricing logic.
8. Compliance sensitivity
9. Awareness of major global digital asset regulatory frameworks and ability to design compliant business systems end-to-end.
