Key responsibilities
As an Electronic Trading Production Support, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the stability and performance of essential trading platforms used by traders across APAC. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close interaction with front office users to resolve technical challenges swiftly while managing ongoing production issues with care and precision.
- Provide end-to-end support for electronic trading platforms, ensuring seamless operations for equities and derivatives trading across APAC markets
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time for traders while managing production incidents efficiently using ITIL methodologies
- Collaborate with local and global development teams to resolve software bugs and implement enhancements
- Conduct quality assurance testing for new deployments or upgrades of critical systems to ensure reliability
- Drive automation initiatives using Python/shell scripting to improve system resilience and reduce manual intervention
Candidate profile
Your proven track record supporting electronic trading environments makes you an ideal fit for this position. You bring hands-on experience navigating both functional challenges faced by traders as well as technical complexities inherent in multi-asset class platforms.
- Proven experience supporting electronic trading environments, with expertise in equities and derivatives products
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, coupled with advanced scripting skills (Python/shell) for task automation
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, FIX) to diagnose performance issues effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and fluency in English for effective communication
- A degree in Information Technology or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in trading support roles
