Corporate Accounting Associate/Vice President (Investment Firm)

You will be a crucial member to support the management company and related entities within a buy-side environment. This is a hands‑on corporate accounting role with meaningful exposure to financial control, systems, and automation. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving reporting quality, and driving operational efficiency as the platform continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain full-set accounts for the management company and related entities
2. Prepare monthly management accounts, schedules, and variance analysis
3. Manage GL maintenance, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
4. Oversee intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and expense controls
5. Support statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory or compliance reporting
6. Own and improve accounting processes with a focus on scalability and efficiency
7. Design and implement automation for month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
8. Build and maintain advanced Excel tools (e.g. Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros)
9. Support optimisation of accounting systems and data flows
10. Translate accounting requirements into practical system and workflow solutions
11. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external service providers
12. Support entity setup, banking arrangements, and ongoing corporate maintenance
13. Work closely with investment, legal, and compliance teams

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
2. Professional qualification (CPA / ACCA / HKICPA or equivalent) preferred
3. 3-8 years relevant experience, ideally within investment firms
4. Big Four audit background with financial services exposure is welcome
5. Strong corporate accounting experience (management company / holding company), not purely fund NAV work
6. Solid working knowledge of HKFRS / IFRS
7. Advanced Excel proficiency
8. Proven experience in accounting automation, process redesign, or system enhancements
9. Exposure to accounting systems, ERP tools, or low-code / automation platforms is a plus
10. Detail-oriented with strong ownership and accountability
11. Comfortable in a lean, high-expectation environment
12. Able to combine sound accounting judgment with a systems-driven mindset
13. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
14. Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese/Mandarin
