The Company
This role is ideal for someone with a blend of commercial, finance/pricing, and engineering knowledge, who enjoys working closely with both internal teams and external clients. You will be responsible for analysing market and commercial data, interpreting business metrics, developing pricing strategies, and supporting commercial negotiations, while maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
The role is primarily based in HK with frequent travel (70%) to the Greater Bay Area, with regular collaboration across regional teams and occasional travel to the United States.
The Role
- Conduct detailed analysis of commercial and market data to support strategic decision-making
- Interpret business metrics, cost structures, and pricing models, and clearly explain them to clients and internal stakeholders
- Develop and review pricing strategies, assess profitability, and optimise commercial terms
- Support and manage commercial negotiations and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- Partner closely with client project managers to articulate commercial rationale, pricing logic, and cost components
- Identify market trends, growth opportunities, and commercial risks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, engineering, product, and operations teams to align commercial strategies
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients
Your Profile
- Strong analytical mindset and quantitative skills, with the ability to work comfortably with data and financial models
- Ability to articulate thought processes, perspectives, and commercial reasoning clearly and confidently
- Solid negotiation skills and experience supporting commercial discussions
- Background in commercial management, finance, business analysis, engineering, or a related discipline
- Science or engineering background is preferred, particularly where exposure to pricing or cost structures is involved
- Minimum 5 years of experience for Manager / Senior Manager levels; less experience will be considered for Associate level
- Proficiency in Business English is essential
- Open to frequent travel
