We are working closely with a top-tier asset management firm in Hong Kong to recruit a senior professional for their ETF capital markets function. This position is key to expanding ETF offerings throughout APAC via smart trading tactics, liquidity optimization, and market ecosystem growth.
Core Duties
- Propel ETF expansion by spotting trading prospects, boosting liquidity, and elevating primary and secondary market performance.
- Develop and expand an effective ETF capital markets operation in partnership with essential business allies.
- Forge stronger ties with authorized participants (APs), market makers, exchanges, and alternative trading platforms to enhance market stability and network diversity; manage onboarding for new APs and market makers.
- Track and evaluate trade volumes, bid-ask spreads, premiums/discounts, and liquidity trends to guide internal strategies and client interactions.
- Provide practical trading intelligence, pre-execution reviews, and implementation guidance to institutional clients, with top-tier support for education and order handling.
- Collaborate with sales, portfolio, and product groups to promote ETF usage, marketing, and regional revenue initiatives.
- Assist in ETF launches by handling seed funding, share lending arrangements, and stakeholder alignment for smooth rollout.
- Manage full product lifecycles, covering creation/redemption oversight, liquidity reviews, market maker setups, and price accuracy validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (minimum); Master's or certification like CFA is advantageous.
- 8-15+ years in ETF capital markets, trading, liquidity planning, or comparable market infrastructure positions.
- Strong expertise in ETF operations, processes, liquidity dynamics, market design, valuation, and trade dynamics.
- Proven skills in strategic planning, team leadership, and delivering results.
- History of achieving business success and improving market standards within an ETF environment.
- Superior interpersonal, influencing, and executive engagement abilities.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin are important for this role
