Headquartered in Hong Kong with an expanding international presence, the firm collaborates closely with a prestigious listed financial institution and serves high‑quality global clients.
This role sits within the Investment Services team and plays a key part in supporting the firm's investment platform and investor relationships. It focuses on data, analysis and reporting-covering investor flows, performance, capacity and business materials-while working closely with senior investment, distribution and internal stakeholders.
The Role
- Trade settlement oversight: Manage day‑to‑day settlement activities across local and overseas markets, ensuring trades and related cash movements are processed accurately and on time.
- Post‑trade processing and controls: Handle core post‑trade functions such as trade matching, reconciliations, client funding movements, and action processing, making sure all records are properly maintained.
- Issue resolution and coordination: Work closely with counterparties, external partners, and internal teams to identify and resolve settlement breaks or operational issues efficiently.
- Operational support for front office: Respond to daily trade and settlement‑related enquiries, providing timely support to deal teams and stakeholders.
- Process compliance and best practices: Ensure settlement activities follow market practices, internal procedures, and relevant regulatory or tax requirements across different jurisdictions.
- Change and improvement initiatives: Participate in system enhancement and operational improvement projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and coordination with vendors and internal teams.
Your Profile
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience: Around 5-8 years of hands‑on experience in securities settlement or post‑trade operations, ideally with exposure to multiple markets.
- Settlement expertise: Strong understanding of cross‑border settlement workflows and operational controls.
- Technical and analytical skills: Solid Excel capability with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
- Personal qualities: Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Cantonese and English, with Mandarin as a plus.
