Senior Analyst/ Analyst – Investment Counsellor (IC) Team

Role Overview

We are hiring Investment Counsellors to join Investment Counsellor (IC) team within the Wealth Management Department. The analyst will operate in a dual capacity: covering a primary asset class vertical (e.g. equities, fixed income, structured products, FX, or funds) while also serving as a dedicated advisory resource for specific client segments. This role combines rigorous investment research with hands-on client engagement, supported by AI-powered tools and a modern content infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain deep expertise in one primary asset class (equities, fixed income, structured products, FX, or funds).
2. Conduct market research, monitor macro and micro developments, and generate actionable investment insights within the assigned vertical.
3. Serve as a dedicated investment resource for specific client segments.
4. Tailor investment views and product recommendations to meet the risk-return profiles and preferences of assigned clients.
5. Partner with relationship managers and sales teams to deliver timely, relevant, and high-conviction investment commentary.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Greater China and global markets across multiple asset classes.
7. Respond to ad-hoc investment queries from sales teams and clients with accuracy, timeliness, and commercial awareness.
8. Actively explore and adopt AI tools, fintech platforms, and data analytics solutions to streamline research workflows and improve output quality.

Qualifications

1. 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment research, wealth management advisory, or a front-office role within a securities firm, private bank, or asset management company. (Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.)
2. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with clients, sales teams, and senior management.
3. Deep understanding of Investment Products and Markets across Greater China and global markets.
4. Strong passion for investing with well-developed market views and the ability to communicate them clearly.
5. Enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools and technology to enhance research quality and operational efficiency.
6. Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (both written and verbal).
