As Institutional Sales & Client Relations Lead, you will be responsible for owning and leading the firms institutional coverage across Greater China and Southeast Asia, with a mandate to drive long‑term AUM growth, client retention, and strategic partnerships. The role requires a strong balance of commercial leadership, market credibility, and long‑term relationship building in the institutional investment community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, drive, and execute a comprehensive institutional sales strategy to grow AUM across pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and other institutional investors in Greater China and Southeast Asia.
- Lead all aspects of the institutional sales lifecycle, including prospecting, pitching, due diligence coordination, negotiations, and onboarding.
- Act as a senior representative of the firm to institutional clients, regulators, consultants, and industry stakeholders in the region.
- Build and maintain long‑term, trusted relationships with institutional clients and key decision‑makers.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for existing institutional investors, ensuring high‑quality servicing, regular communication, and client retention.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support client reporting, portfolio reviews, and bespoke investment solutions.
- Work closely with investment teams to communicate market views and product developments.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in institutional sales, client relations, or business development within asset management, private credit, alternatives, or investment banking.
- Proven track record of raising institutional capital and growing AUM in Greater China, with exposure to Southeast Asia preferred.
- Strong existing relationships with institutional investors and investment consultants in the region.
- Deep understanding of Private Credit markets, structures, and investment strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior institutional stakeholders.
- Experience working with global investment teams and cross‑border strategies.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is required.
