About the Role

Support pension fund accounting and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting in accordance with HKRBC requirements and applicable regulatory standards, with particular focus on regulatory reporting to relevant authorities (including, but not limited to, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and Insurance Authority (IA)), and on providing financial information to support management review.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Pension Fund Accounting & Regulatory Reporting (70%)
  • Support pension fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with HKRBC requirements and applicable regulatory standards, including those of relevant authorities (such as the MPFA, SFC, and IA, where applicable).
  • Coordinate with outsourcing team on outsourced accounting and reporting activities, monitoring report quality, accuracy, and adherence to agreed timelines.
  • Assist in the timely preparation, review, and consolidation of HKRBC financial and regulatory reports for submission to regulator and Group Finance.
  • Provide support in handling regulatory queries, inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports to support management performance review and decision-making.
  • Contribute to system enhancements and workflow improvements, including assisting in identifying process efficiencies and control enhancements.
2. Finance Projects & System Support (25%)
  • Collaborate with the finance team and relevant stakeholders, including Investment Finance, Investment, Actuarial, IT, and other departments, to support the delivery of finance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in system development and enhancement activities, including requirement clarification, testing support, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet pension fund accounting and reporting needs.
3. Other responsibilities (5%)
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time to support regulatory, operational, or business requirements, including those arising from applicable regulatory authorities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • University graduate and a member of recognized professional accounting body plus 5+ years relevant experience
  • Sound insurance/pension fund accounting knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Knowledge in up-to-date accounting standards
  • Experience in mass data analytics
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with creativity
  • Proficient in Excel functions
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
